Roam is the field-ready application of technology TouchWind has been developing for years. Founded on more than 2 decades of wind engineering expertise and based at the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, TouchWind developed the patented tilting single-blade rotor to work where conventional turbines fall short. That same rotor is already running autonomous prototypes producing power on land. Roam takes a proven design and makes it mobile. Roam's patented tilting single-blade rotor uses wind in a unique manner. Tilting enables a bigger rotor to be installed which catches more energy at low wind speeds, then flattens to ride out extreme storms, to continue producing power instead stopping. 

A robust mechanism that lets it lower to the ground in 30 minutes for servicing. One blade, fewer moving parts, less to maintain. It's the core of what makes Roam work where conventional turbines can't.
